Joseph Melchionne is an attorney licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Joseph concentrates his practice on New York Workers’ Compensation Defense; representing insurance companies and self-insured employers before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board. He primarily appears in the Manhattan hearing point. Joseph is the author of numerous articles on workers’ compensation defense which can be found here.
Prior to joining Lois, LLC, Joseph worked for a law firm where his practice was focused on New Jersey family law and matrimonial matters such as divorce, child custody, and the equitable distribution of marital property. Prior to that, Joseph completed clerkships in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part and General Equity Part, Essex Vicinage for the Honorable Garry J. Furnari, J.S.C. and the Honorable David B. Katz, P.J.S.C.
Before embarking on a career in law, Joseph earned a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy & Human Services and worked as a psychological counselor. Joseph is certified as a New Jersey State Family Court and Special Civil mediator.
